Tommy's Towelling Thursday!

Tommy: Woofs, Everyone! Yesterday afternoon, I went with #1 to a meeting at our local castle, Chateau St. Jean (she has meetings in the best places). I had a wonderful time!

But, as we were getting in the car to come home, #1 decreed that I was filthy. So, I had to go in the bathtub and got a (warm!) shower and shampoo! Needless to say, #1 ended up "taking one" too...

And then I got towel-dried!

And then #1 changed the cover on my LL Bean bed and put on the soft fleece cover. It was almost worth getting dirty!

PS: After we wrote this post, we got some really sad news. Vidock's little sister, Altesse, ran off to the Bridge yesterday. We don't yet know what happened. She was only five and a half, but we are all sad for our big brother.

Run Free, Altesse.

  3. Very upsetting news about Altesse. A tragedy.

Tommy, you are the most beautiful and wonderful dog.
Your darling, soulful face is always a welcome sight.

  4. Tom you look quite bedraggled while wrapped in a towel but the thought of a new fleece cover on your bed must have cheered you up. How sad that Altesse
went to the Bridge yesterday at such a young age yesterday.

  5. Some times, at the end of a fun day, a bath and clean bed are what a dog really needs... even if the process that gets him there is not quite desired :) We are sad to hear about Altesse. She was very young to leave this world. We send our condolences and love.

  10. Oh that is so sad about Altesse - soft woos and gentle hugs from all of us.

We used to have LL Bean beds until SomePup chewed through the cover. We have some cheap ones now from Costco, but they do have furry fabric on the other side - we should give that side a try too, but not with a bath too:)

  11. It is very sad about Altesse.
I bet you smelled really nice after your bath, Tommy. I like to get towel dried if I have been out in the garden in the rain.

  12. I feel so terrible about the loss of Altesse. She was so beautiful. When I saw her I thought she looked a lot like Vidock. I got so excited to comment on her I failed to read the post. Ignorant of me and I apologize. Bless her soul. On a good note, Tommy got to see the Chateau and then have a nice, warm bath. Tommy you look so comfy cozy on your soft bed. You are a terrific dog and deserve all the best!
