More Elsewhere Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: She is coming back tomorrow!!!! We can't wait. She is in a bit of a state a she received a pretty nasty email from our sitters telling her our house was squalid because, among other things, it had six litterboxes in it, and saying that their presence had improved the quality of our lives considerably. Apparently, #1 is not able to look after us properly and our house is not fit for human habitation, but we want her back anyway!!! She says she has had it with house-sitters, aside from nice people who have returned to us time and time again.

We obviously have no new SoS pictures to have with you, but # sent us a few "elsewhere" ones to post. She met this mare whom she really liked and who seemed to like her too:

Her name is Reality and she was the ninth top-selling horse at the big auction yesterday.

Remember that handsome Elkhound woofie? #1 had quite a few snuggles with him:

And here is a cute story. Some friends of #1's sold a mare last year, and she was sold again yesterday, coming in at the top-priced mare for the whole auction. These friends, along with their two kids, came to the auction and Ariel, the mare of course recognised them. There was a lot of snuggling all around!

Horses have great memories!

Safe travels #1!

  1. Geez, what kind of pet sitters are these? They aren't even staying around on Sunday for snuggles!

P.S. Six litter boxes for four cats sounds about right to me!

  2. Yes. 6 is the right number for you guys. We have 5 as San has no place to have a 6th one. What strange cat sitters to stay in someone's home and then insult them!

  3. Sounds like those sitters are doing the wrong job! I always have 2 litter boxes, and when the humans are away I have 3 even though there is only me, and my holiday aunties scoop every morning and night.
The horses are beautiful, and it is nice that Ariel recognised her previous family.

  4. I hadn't noticed before how big Percheron's ears are. Adorable photo with the children. Gentle giants, indeed. :)

  6. You must be looking forward to seeing #1 and to have a lot of cuddles! Enjoy your sunday! Purrs!

  7. It sounds like the house sitters had unrealistic expectations and are taking it out on #1. We're sure they didn't pay for daily housekeeping, so they should expect to have to do a little cleaning over such a long stay, especially in a multi-pet household. We think your home looks lovely and would be perfect for a relaxing get-away.

  8. Hmmm, perhaps the sitters attitudes is why Beebs is leaving deposits.
and 6 litter boxes would be a good number. Sitters - Pawt!!!

  11. Well you know what you need to do? Stop using all those litter boxes until she's home again. Poop on them.

  12. Those cat/house sitters are idiots. Did they want you to have one litter box. The six you had was the correct number of boxes for four cats. I really need to get another for our house I only have two for two cats. Safe trip home, prepare yourself for the mad rush when you open that door at home. Every one will be glad to see you.

  13. As soon as Beebs started going out of his box we felt something was wrong. It was his way of calling help. We hate to think of how you all were treated by these folks. That they would abandon you without someone to care for you speaks legions .
They obviously didn't care a fig about cats, they just played along because they wanted a place to stay.
    Evil people.
Try to put it all behind you and get ready for you #1's return.

  14. And this is why our peeps take separate vacations.

  15. They wait until #1 is coming home to tell her that? Sheesh!
Then, they are not even staying around until #1 is home!
We are glad she got some nice snuggles.
Bet she is looking forward to getting snuggles from you at
    Poupounette Central though!!

  16. Coucou Tama,

  17. We are very sorry to hear about those housesitters! Bad ones!
We loved seeing that sweet sequence with Ariel and her former family. And Reality is beautiful. I am sure all of you will be very happy to have #1 back home. Let us hope she stays put for a while!

  18. That is quite rude. Anyone who knows cats knows that multiple litter boxes are appropriate. And anyone who knows #1 knows that her Furry family is treated extremely well. I always look forward took what food and treats #1 brings back from her travels

  21. Katie and I are deeply sorry that the cats had to suffer people who do not deserve the privilege of your beautiful comfortable and loving home! Frankly we are somewhat outraged. A lot outraged! And you were left alone. That makes us sad here where we are.
